The old way - dial up
National access and ease of phone number, area code or city search are the primary needs. While dozens of internet providers can handle national access, getting set up and making setup convenient while operating from a Hotel room, another business office, or a PC with your internet provider and getting access phone numbers withou hassle is a major issue for the road traveler. However it can be done but you need advanced access to access numbers before you hit the road or use another connected PC to get them beforehand.

The new way - mobile internet cards
If you need portable internet access and hotel room or wi-fi networks are not going to work then visit your mobile phone provider for USB mobile internet or the PCM card version. There not unlimited but few users reach the limits.

Road travelers note: When using any new location be sure the number your dialing is a local number with the front desk first.
